About the Artist

Marva Sheriff and her husband, Jeff, have three grown sons and live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a family they enjoy escaping Up North to the lakes for rest & relaxation, fishing, and late-night Scrabble and Cribbage games.

For the past 16 years Marva has owned and operated her own business, Credo Designs, Ltd. with much help from family and friends. Her mission is to create inspirational products to uplift and encourage. Living in Minnesota, Marva's ordinary moments and days are surrounded with astounding beauty ~ light, colors, textures, lines, fascinating patterns & intricate details ~ a feast for the senses! It is out of this extravagance & her life experiences that she creates. The flow of calligraphic lines, gentle hues and the spontaneity of watercolor helps her express what is on her heart & mind.

Marva received her undergraduate degree in Art Education from Iowa State University. She draws on her art education background to encourage others to express their hearts. Over the years, she has facilitated a variety of retreats, grief support groups and bible studies. As a retreat facilitator and art educator, she enjoys giving people permission to slow down, listen & scribble their prayers to God.
